New details concerning Samsung's upcoming Galaxy S26 series smartphones have emerged online courtesy of Roland Quandt and WinFuture. By the looks of things, the company will use its next flagships as an excuse for significantly expand its adoption of the Qi2 wireless charging standard.
Currently, all Galaxy S26 models are expected to support Qi2, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra allegedly being the only one of the three to support 25 W wireless charging. For context, the Galaxy S25 Ultra (curr. $1,049 on Amazon) tops out at 15 W wireless charging just like its cheaper siblings. According to Quandt, Samsung has integrated magnets across most of its official Galaxy S26 series accessories, presumably to align its ecosystem more closely with Qi2's requirements.
Incidentally, details about Samsung's unreleased magnetic wireless battery pack surfaced on the Wireless Power Consortium a few days ago. Reportedly, this accessory will be joined by a new 25 W Qi2 wireless charger (EP-P2900), as well as Magnetic Clear, Magnetic Carbon, Magnetic Rugged and Magnetic Silicon first-party cases for the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra.
For reference, Quandt adds that the latter case will be sold in black and grey finishes. Moreover, a Dual Magnet Ring Holder should be available for handsets with a Bluetooth-compatible S Pen for the Galaxy S26 Ultra and Galaxy S26 Ultra only. Currently, the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus and Galaxy S26 Ultra are expected to launch simultaneously at the end of February 2026.
