Deal | Motorola Razr Plus 2023 drops to lowest price yet for commemorative new sale
Motorola.com has announced a 20th Anniversary event as an homage to the original Razr V3, the device often associated with the start of the flip phone craze in the time before smart mobile devices came to prominence.
Accordingly, the new sale centers around the Razr Plus series, which can be considered the spiritual successor to the V3, even though it has ditched the flip-phone look for cutting-edge cover displays favored as inspiration by Xiaomi in making the new Mix Flip over the 'envelope' style of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip series.
The design debuted in the Razr+ 2023 (also known as the Razr 40 Ultra outside the US), a device that also boasts a 1,400-nit 165Hz 6.9-inch flexible AMOLED display is driven by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.
It is now available new for just $599.99 via either Amazon or Motorola: a flipping 40% discount on its starting price. Alternatively, its vanilla counterpart the Razr 2023 is now just $399.99, although it should be noted that it has a much smaller cover display and a mid-range processor - and that it, like its Razr+ sibling, is still stuck on Android 13.
On that note, the upgraded, Android 14-powered Razr+ 2024 is still available at an introductory price of $899.99. Its vegan leather rear panel comes in a range of colors, the V3's Hot Pink included, whereas that of the 2023 model also has a range of options, Pantone-validated Peach Fuzz included.
