Now that Motorola has confirmed that its Snapdragon 8 Gen 2-toting Moto X40 is on the way, the OEM's general manager of mobile business Chen Jin is back hyping this upcoming flagship on Weibo.
The executive claims to have something that shows how powerful the X40 really is: an image showing an AnTuTu score of no less than 1,312,901, thereby blowing past the ~1.2 million gauntlet laid down by MediaTek for its new and cutting-edge Dimensity 9200 SoC.
There is no reason to believe that the new benchmarking result is genuine; then again, the manager could have thrown more detail in there besides the number alone, such as the X40's model number (currently believed to be Motorola XT2301).
Nevertheless, the bold claim should elevate expectations of the X30 successor's performance. The premium smartphone also stands to benefit from a ray-tracing-capable GPU of up to 25% more power than that of the 8 Gen 1, updated image-processing power for its possibly triple rear cameras and potentially improved battery life thanks to a new 4nm production process.
