More leaks may or may not point to the imminent launch of the Realme X3 Pro
Realme may have surprised tech enthusiasts when it updated its X series of smartphones with a novel variant called the X3 SuperZoom as well as the vanilla X3, but no Pro model as expected. However, some correspondents are still expecting its launch any time now.
These projections have recently arisen again, based on a new TUV Rheinland safety certification for a Realme device with 65 watt (W) charging. This RMX2071 is also associated with a typical capacity of 2250mAh; however, this may indicate the presence of a dual-cell battery that scales its actual size up to 4500mAh.
As this kind of technology have been hallmarks of flagship-grade Realme phones in recent history, the device is now believed to be the X3 Pro. It has also been spotted on Geekbench 5 with the Snapdragon 865 (or possibly 865+) processor, 8GB of RAM and Android 10. However, there are a number of roadblocks in its path to being taken seriously as the putative flagship.
One is the RMX2083, another heretofore-unknown Realme model number that falls between that of the X3 (RMX2081) and X3 SuperZoom (RMX2086). It has also surfaced on Geekbench and, moreover, has been approved by the NCC regulator of Taiwan. This device is depicted as running on the Snapdragon 855 - or perhaps 855+, as the existing members of the series do.
However, neither device has appeared in further leaks, including those that might include handy images such as those from the TENAA authority. On this note, the "X3 Pro" story had been made even more confusing recently by the arrival of yet another new phone on this database: the RMX2121.
This device has also been certified as having 65W charging, and is also known to have a 6.55-inch display and a single punch-hole selfie camera. Therefore, these 3 candidate may have to vie for Pro status in the near future.
