While AMD hasn't provided any details about the RDNA 4 RX 9000 mobile GPUs, the entire RX 9000 mobile GPU series has leaked online. We now have specs of the RX 9080M, the RX 9070M XT, the RX 9070M, the RX 9060M, and the RX 9060 S.

Back in December 2024, leaker All_The_Watts alleged that AMD was preparing a bunch of different RDNA 4 laptop GPUs that the company could reveal at CES 2025. Four months have now past since CES 2025 and AMD has yet to unveil even one RX 9000 mobile card. However, this hasn’t stopped All_The_Watts from sharing specs of the RX 9000 RDNA 4 laptop series, including details about the RX 9080M.

There are allegedly six different RX 9000 mobile GPUs in the works, from the high-end RX 9080M to the entry-level RX 9060S. Since there are only two RDNA 4 GPUs, Navi 48 and Navi 44, all RDNA 4 laptop SKUs could be based on either of the two.

AMD Radeon RX 9080M

At the top end, AMD has reportedly prepared the RX 9080M. The GPU could feature the full Navi 48 die with 64 Compute Units (CUs), 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM, and 64 MB of Infinity Cache. There is no word regarding the TDP and clock speeds. While these specs match the desktop RX 9070 XT, the final clock speeds and power targets of the RX 9080M will be much lower than its desktop counterpart.

Finally, AMD's revised naming scheme for the RDNA 4 GPUs makes it easy to identify the performance target set by the company. The RX 9080M is, therefore, an RTX 5080 laptop competitor.

Radeon RX 9070M XT, RX 9070M, and RX 9070S

Sitting below the RX 9080M, the RX 9070M XT and the RX 9070 target the RTX 5070 Ti laptop and the RTX 5070 laptop GPUs, respectively. Featuring a cut-down Navi 48 GPU, the RX 9070M XT is the mobile counterpart to the desktop RX 9070 but with reduced VRAM and Infinity Cache. It is rumored to bring 48 CUs, 12 GB of GDDR6, and 48 MB of Infinity Cache.

For reference, the RX 9070 also has 48 CUs but 16 GB of VRAM and 64 MB of IC.

The RX 9070M, on the other hand, could utilize the Navi 44 die with 32 CUs, only 8 GB of VRAM, and 32 MB of IC.

Finally, the RX 9070S is the same card as the RX 9070M, but for “Slim” laptops, as mentioned by KeplerL2. So, the RX 9070S could be a TDP-limited version of the RX 9070M.

Radeon RX 9060M and RX 9060S

At the bottom of the stack, the RX 9060M and the RX 9060S are there to contend with the RTX 5060 laptop. Both the RX 9060M and the RX 9060S are likely to feature a binned-down Navi 44 die with 28 CUs, 8 GB of VRAM, and 32 MB of IC. Once again, the RX 9060S appears to be the same board as the RX 9060M, but for portable notebooks.

All in all, AMD appears to have a full lineup of RDNA 4 laptop GPUs to compete with the Nvidia RTX 50 series on every performance level except the flagship level, where the RTX 5090 reigns supreme. But specs are one thing and general availability another.

Laptops with AMD’s mobile GPUs, like the Alienware m18 R1 with the RX 7900M, are pretty hard to find. So, even if AMD unveils the RDNA 4 mobile cards as worthy alternatives to GeForce GPUs, the question of availability will remain.
