MSI will be unveiling an upgraded Titan 18 HX at CES 2024. The flagship gaming laptop will feature the world's first 18-inch 4K 120 Hz mini-LED display with 1000 nits peak brightness and a 2 million:1 contrast ratio, and each unit comes factory-calibrated for accurate color reproduction. The company hasn't detailed any specifications but expect to see SKUs powered by Intel Raptor Lake-HX Refresh CPUs and Nvidia RTX 4090 Laptop GPU.

CES 2024 is right around the corner and various manufacturers have started teasing their products already. The Titan HX is MSI's flagship gaming laptop and is getting a customary upgrade in the coming year as well. This time, the Titan 18 HX will be the world's first 18-inch laptop with a 4K 120 Hz mini-LED display.

We have seen 4K 120 Hz displays before in laptops such as the Razer Blade 16, which even offers dual FHD 240 Hz and UHD 120 Hz modes, but the Titan 18 HX will be the first to offer this resolution and refresh rate in this form factor. The previous Titan GT77 HX 13VI already offers a 4K 144 Hz mini-LED panel but in a 17.3-inch size.

According to MSI, the Titan 18 HX will feature an AUO AmLED panel with 1000 nits peak brightness and a 2M:1 contrast ratio. The panel is thus VESA DisplayHDR 1000-certified. MSI says that the Titan 18 HX's display will have minimal halo effects, that are common with mini-LEDs, due to use of Adaptive Control Technology.

The Titan 18 HX's mini-LED screen covers 100% DCI-P3 color space. MSI guarantees that every Titan 18 HX will make use of the company's True Color technology and each panel will be factory-examined for the most accurate color reproduction possible.

MSI hasn't yet detailed any specifications for the Titan 18 HX, but top of the line hardware is a given for this lineup. Going by what we've seen before with the Titan GT77 12UHS and the Titan GT77 HX 13VI Expect to see the Titan 18 HX with Intel Raptor Lake-HX Refresh CPUs, such as the purported Core i9-14900HX, and the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU, 64 GB DDR5 RAM, and high-end Samsung NVMe drives in RAID 0.

We will have more details on the MSI Titan 18 HX and other juicy announcements directly from CES 2024, so stay tuned.
