MIUI 12.5 update now rolling out to the Redmi Note 10 in Europe sans Second Space

Two weeks ago, Xiaomi began the MIUI 12.5 rollout for the Redmi Note 10 by sending out the update to Global ROM models of the phone. The company is now expanding the rollout by gracing owners of the EEA ROM of the Redmi Note 10 with a similar MIUI 12.5 update.

The update for the Redmi Note 10 bears the software designation "MIUI 12.5.1.0 RKGEUXM", denoting that it's the very first MIUI 12.5 build for the European model of the Redmi Note 10. The OTA is in the stable release stage, which means that all owners of the European ROM model of the Redmi Note 10 should be getting it right about now.

The update weighs in at 475 MB and offers overall system optimization, performance improvements, a revamp to the Notes app, as well as the July security patch. The changelog claims it's the June patch, but that appears to be a mistake on Xiaomi's end.

Sadly, though, this update doesn't bring Xiaomi's Second Space feature as some expected. That's particularly egregious considering the Redmi Note 10 Pro already has that feature.
