Lenovo has released a new 14-inch ThinkPad globally. A particularly lightweight 14-inch laptop, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 AMD can be configured with a 500-nit display, 64 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 5G cellular connectivity. Lenovo's latest ThinkPad T14s utilises AMD Gorgon Point processors, too.

Almost four months have passed since Lenovo presented the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7. Unveiled during MWC 2026 in early March, the Gen 7 was slated to be available with a choice of AMD Gorgon Point, Intel Panther Lake and Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 processors. Although Snapdragon X2-backed models remain absent for now, Lenovo has finally complemented Intel units with AMD-based alternatives to replace the Gen 6 model we reviewed in late 2024 (curr. $1,549 on Amazon).

Specifically, the latter is configurable with the Ryzen AI 5 430, Ryzen AI 5 Pro 440, Ryzen AI 7 445 or the Ryzen AI 7 Pro 450 in many markets, paired with a 58 Wh battery. Moreover, the AMD-based ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 can be ordered with 16 GB, 32 GB or 64 GB of soldered LPDDR5X-8533 RAM and 256 GB, 512 GB or 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Lenovo offers optional 4G and 5G cellular connectivity too, as well as a fingerprint reader for a small surcharge.

Unfortunately, the OLED display with its 1800p resolution and 120 Hz variable refresh rate mentioned on Lenovo's PSREF website cannot be configured for the time being. Instead, Lenovo only sells IPS options with 1200p resolutions and 60 Hz refresh rates. Two panels are said to reach 500 nits, though.

Pricing starts at AUD 2,024, CAD 3,359, €2,429, HKD 12,403, MYR 6,074 and SGD 2,684 in Australia, Canada, the Eurozone, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore, respectively. Meanwhile, the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 costs at least $2,129 with AMD processors. In part, this high US pricing can be attributed to the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 containing 32 GB of RAM.

Nonetheless, AMD models cost significantly more than Intel Panther Lake-powered alternatives, which currently retail for $1,739. For reference, this price difference represents a 22% surcharge. Please see Lenovo's website for more details.
