Lenovo releases new 13-inch laptop with 120 Hz display and up to 32 GB RAM

Lenovo has quietly started selling a new version of the IdeaPad Slim 5x across Europe. To recap, the company initially released a 15-inch variant in North America. Now, it has followed the IdeaPad Slim 5x (15Q8Y11) up with a smaller variant.
Specifically, Lenovo has released the 13Q8Y11, which drops to a 13.3-inch display within a 295 x 207 x 14 mm and 1.19 kg housing. As a result, the new IdeaPad Slim 5x 13Q8Y11 is considerably smaller and lighter than the older IdeaPad Slim 5x 14Q8X9 (curr. $775 on Amazon). Nonetheless, the IdeaPad Slim 5x 13Q8Y11 features a more powerful Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-42-100 chipset with 6 Oryon V3 cores at its disposal.
Additionally, the laptop includes a 54.7 Wh battery that supports 65 W charging and which Lenovo rates for over 28 hours of battery life when playing 1080p local videos at 150 nits. The IdeaPad Slim 5x 13Q8Y11 can only be configured with a 1200p IPS display for the time being though, despite Lenovo mentioning that a 1600p alternative exists. For reference, this 1200p display covers 100% of the sRGB colour space with 400 nits peak brightness and a 120 Hz refresh rate.
Currently, the IdeaPad Slim 5x 13Q8Y11 starts at £1,050, with prices ranging between €1,230 and €1,249 in the Eurozone. The laptop starts with 16 GB of LPDDR5X-9523 RAM and 512 GB of M.2 2242 storage in all markets. However, Lenovo offers 32 GB RAM and 1 TB of storage options as necessary. The company has not confirmed when the laptop will be available in other markets yet, though.
