Asus is now selling one of its latest 16-inch laptops globally. Equipped with 48 GB of RAM and a 70 Wh battery, the Zenbook A16 also features a 1,100-nit and 120 Hz display plus one of Qualcomm's most powerful Snapdragon X2 Elite chipsets.

Earlier this week, Asus released the Zenbook A16 in the US. Well received for its high-end performance and lightweight form factor, the Zenbook A16 effectively serves as the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2-powered alternative to the existing Zenbook S16 series (curr. $1,299 on Amazon). Many have been quick to criticise Asus' decision to increase Zenbook A16 pricing by $100 soon after its release.

While the focus remains on the laptop's US release, Asus has quietly started selling the Zenbook A16 internationally too. For instance, the laptop can already be purchased in Australia, the Eurozone and the UK. Currently, all variants feature a Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-94-100 chipset, 48 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD.

Also, Asus includes a 70 Wh battery and a 3K and 120 Hz OLED display with up to 1,100 nits peak brightness in HDR mode. The Zenbook A16 retails for €1,999 in the Eurozone and AUD 4,299 in Australia. By contrast, the laptop is available from Asus' website for £2,099 in the UK but £1,799 from Currys. Please see our Zenbook A16 launch article and our in-depth review for more details.
