Lenovo launches new 15-inch gaming laptop with AMD Strix Halo

The rumours were true. Lenovo has joined Asus in adopting AMD's Strix Halo platform for a gaming laptop without a dedicated GPU. To recap, Lenovo was spotted making references to a Legion 7 15 ASH11 in January. Meanwhile, Asus has already released the TUF Gaming A14 FA401EA in many markets.
Now, the company has confirmed that the Legion 7 15 ASH11 will be launching as a new Legion 7a Gen 11 to complement the 16-inch version it has just started selling globally. As its name suggests, the latest Legion 7a features a 15.3-inch OLED display like the Yoga Slim 7 before it (curr. $1,199 on Amazon).
Weighing in at 1.65 kg, the new Legion 7a features an aluminium housing, full-sized arrow keys, a large trackpad and a centred keyboard that dispenses with the numberpad found on the existing 16-inch model. Lenovo only mentions the inclusion of Ryzen AI Max+ APUs. Currently, this includes the Ryzen AI Max+ 388, Ryzen AI Max+ 392 and Ryzen AI Max+ 395.
Therefore, the Legion 7a will be available with AMD's Radeon 8060S iGPU. Lenovo hopes to begin selling the laptop across the Eurozone from June 2026 onwards. Configurations will start at around €2,000 (~$2,359).
