Due to the ongoing memory shortage, quite a few laptop manufacturers have ramped down or sometimes even eliminated their usually significant discounts. This also applies to Lenovo, although the Chinese PC maker is now running a noteworthy promotion for the pretty capable ThinkPad P14s Gen 5.
To be more precise, the Intel-powered configuration with the Core Ultra 7 155H and 32GB DDR5 RAM has now dropped to $1,139 including free shipping, which is the lowest price ever for this particular SKU according to Lenovo. The 14-inch workstation laptop is also equipped with the Nvidia RTX 500 Ada Generation Laptop GPU with 4GB GDDR6 VRAM. This dedicated graphics card can be helpful for various multimedia workloads, such as editing 4K video.

Fortunately, the display is also quite decent as the IPS panel has a high resolution of 3072 x 1920 pixels, peak brightness of over 400 nits and full DCI-P3 coverage. The 120Hz refresh rate is also higher than usual. Buyers can also look forward to a reasonably sized 1TB SSD and 75Wh battery. Anyhow, please take a few minutes to check out our comprehensive Lenovo ThinkPad P14s Gen 5 review before placing an order.
We've thoroughly tested a very similar model variant and praised the sturdy chassis, the high-quality input devices, upgradable RAM and versatile connectivity options. On the other hand, the two cooling fans could be a bit quieter for our taste, and we also would've liked to see an sRGB profile. Nonetheless, the heavily discounted Lenovo ThinkPad P14s is an attractive productivity machine that should make most office and multimedia users quite happy.
