The Lenovo Slim Pro 9i with a 14.5-inch 3K MiniLED panel can now be had for US$200 less than the US$1,699.99 list price. The notebook features a 14-core Core i7-13705H Raptor Lake CPU, a 6 GB RTX 4050 GPU, and 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory running at 6,400 MHz. Other notable specs include removable 1 TB storage and a 5 MP webcam with support for Windows Hello facial recognition.

Lenovo announced the new Yoga Pro 9i, called the Slim Pro 9i in the US, laptop back in March. The ultrabook packs the latest generation Intel CPU and NVIDIA RTX GPUs alongside 14.5/16-inch IPS/ MiniLED displays. Currently, you can get the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i with a Core i7-13705H, an RTX 4050, 32 GB of LPDDR5X memory, and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage for only US$1,499.99 from Antonline at eBay. The discounted price is US$200 lower than the list price of US$1,699.99 (slickdeals).

The defining quality of the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i on sale is the 14.5-inch MiniLED display that rocks a 3072x1920 resolution, a 165 Hz refresh rate, and is touch-capable. Lenovo claims that the MiniLED panel boasts 1,200 nits of peak brightness and 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 and AdobeRGB color gamut. While not the same size, our testing of the Slim Pro 9i revealed that, in SDR mode, the panel boasts 680 nits of average brightness with a peak value of 720 nits.

Enabling HDR mode pushed the peak brightness all the way up to 1,400 nits with a black value of 0. Coupled with the 92%, 99.7%, and 96.9% coverage of the DCI-P3, sRGB, and AdobeRGB color gamut, the display on the Slim Pro 9i should be excellent for both content creation and media consumption.

Moving on to the performance, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i with its Core i7-13705H earned a CPU performance rating of 78.1 while the overall performance rating stood at 92.8%. In other words, the combination of a Core i7-13705H and an RTX 4050 is enough to handle demanding tasks like content creation.

Similarly, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i can also play AAA games at FHD resolution and QHD if you are willing to turn on upscaling technologies like DLSS and FSR. For instance, the RTX 4050 pushed Cyberpunk 2077 to 50 FPS with Ultra quality graphics and RT enabled with the help of DLSS Frame Generation.

Unfortunately, Lenovo Slim Pro 9i showed poor endurance in our tests at full brightness. Dropping the brightness down to 150 nits allowed our unit to last for 8 hours in our Wi-Fi test. Drop the refresh rate and brightness down simultaneously will net even longer runtimes.

All in all, the Lenovo Slim Pro 9i is an excellent notebook as it got a “very good” rating of 90% in our review. So for US$1,499.99, the ultrabook is definitely worth consideration.
