Lenovo asserts that its latest addition to its IdeaPad Chromebook line is an improvement over its predecessors. The new PC has landed on MWC 2023 with a "full-featured" (USB 3.2 Gen 1) type-C port, a 14-inch "bright" (up to 300 nits) FHD display that covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut and has touch options.
The IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (14-inch, 8) packs a MediaTek Kompanio 520 SoC with 4 or 8GB of RAM and 64 to 128GB of eMMC storage in a chassis that weighs 1.3 kilograms (kg) and packs dual up-firing 2W speakers with Waves MaxxAudio tuning. It also exhibits an up-to-1080p webcam with a privacy shutter, as well as a mute switch.
The OEM is confident that this entire package can meet the needs of both working and taking a break on the go - it even has a combination audio jack. In addition, its Chrome OS also offers Android app support and Google Assistant into the bargain.
The IdeaPad Slim 3 Chromebook (14-inch, 8) is projected to become available from May 2023 in Abyss Blue or Cloud Gray, starting at €349 in the EMEA region or US$339 in North America.
