In recent weeks, attention has fallen on unreleased Google devices such as its Pixel smartphones. However, the company also has more than Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro (curr. $849.99 on Amazon) successors planned, even if these are likely to make up the bulk of its August 13 'Made by Google's launch event. Based on previous leaks, new earbuds and smartwatches are planned too, the former of which was recently revealed through a series of leaked render images.
Less has been seen of Google's next smartwatches though, which are expected to arrive in two sizes. To that end, 91mobiles and @OnLeaks have provided a brief look at one model next to the Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel 9 series smartphones, which 9to5Google believes is the smaller Pixel Watch 3. As previous leaks suggested, this year's Pixel Watch smartwatches will bear an uncanny resemblance with their predecessors thanks to a continued reliance on a proprietary band design and a convex display.
With that being said, the Pixel Watch 3 series is rumoured to feature over 20% thinner display bezels than the Pixel Watch 2, which the image above and below reinforces. Incidentally, 9to5Google points out that the same image shows five watch face complications, a number that is currently beyond the capabilities of the Pixel Watch 2. As a result, this has led some to speculate that the image is actually of the Pixel Watch 3 XL, a larger alternative that is anticipated to offer a 45 mm case size and an improved battery capacity.
