After providing specs and renders of the HMD Pulse 2 Pro earlier this month, the same source has now done the same for the HMD Pulse 2 and the HMD Pulse 2+/HMD Pulse 2 Plus. However, there's still no date for when the new Android smartphones will be announced and how much they will cost.
Posted on X by smashx_60 on X, the HMD Pulse 2 and Pulse 2+ will have similar specs and even look alike, save for a few differences. According to the source, the HMD Pulse 2 and HMD Pulse 2+ will both have a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD panel for their screen. However, while the standard model has a 90Hz refresh rate, the Pulse 2+ will have a 120Hz refresh rate.
While HMD will equip both phones with a Unisoc T615 processor, their RAM and storage configuration is where they differ. The Pulse 2 will have 4GB of RAM with the option of 64GB or 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage while the Pulse 2+ will be available in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, paired with 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage.
The leaked renders show that the HMD Pulse 2 and HMD Pulse 2+ will have a camera plateau similar to that of the iPhone 17 series. Both phones will have a 50MP primary rear camera and a 2MP secondary camera sensor. On the front, the Pulse 2 will have an 8MP camera while the Pulse 2+ will have a 13MP camera.
Like the HMD Pulse 2 Pro, these two will also have a 5,000mAh battery capacity. However, while the leak says the Pulse 2+ will support 20W wired charging, there's no mention of the power input for the Pulse 2. Finally, the leak mentions the two phones will run Android 15 out of the box.
Another differentiating factor between the two devices is the color options. As seen in the leaked renders, the HMD Pulse 2 will be available in Pale Blue and Black, while the Pulse 2+ will launch in Apricot Crush like the HMD Pulse Plus (available on Amazon.de for €99.42), and Navy Blue.
