Insta360 Luna Ultra: Game-changing 3-in-1 remote screen with wireless mic revealed early

After months of leaks and rumors, including the pre-order campaign that just went live, new hands-on preview videos of the Insta360 Luna Ultra have surfaced, confirming a few key features of the upcoming gimbal camera.
One of them is the 3x zoom camera, which supports 6x lossless zoom and up to 12x digital zoom, making the dual-cam gimbal as versatile as a smartphone camera. However, another feature revealed in the hands-on footage is unlike anything previously seen on competitors like the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 or the new Osmo Pocket 4.
The Insta360 Luna Ultra's unique detachable remote has a built-in mic
The Luna Ultra’s detachable touchscreen remote control also functions as a wireless microphone, elevating the possibilities for solo videographers. While it is currently unclear how the remote’s built-in mic compares to a dedicated microphone like the new Insta360 Mic Pro, the Luna Ultra is said to support native 32-bit audio recording.
In other words, if the wireless remote can transmit a 32-bit signal and embed it directly into the video file, it would establish the Luna Ultra as a truly one-of-a-kind videography system. For reference, the only other camera capable of recording native 32-bit audio is the Nikon ZR, which costs well over $2,000.
Stay tuned for the full official reveal of the Insta360 Luna Ultra, when we should find out more about the detachable remote control/mic.
