Wireless mic with e-ink display: Insta360 Mic Pro now available

At first glance, the Insta360 Mic Pro stands out from practically all wireless microphones on the market. This is because Insta360 uses a round E-Ink display with a diagonal of 1.22 inches that can display six colors. The associated smartphone app can be used to select which image is displayed on each microphone so that they can be personalized with a logo or name, for example.
The 19.7 gram body accommodates three microphones, which are designed not to overmodulate thanks to 32-bit float recording. The microphone can record either omni-directionally or super-directionally and is designed to suppress disturbing ambient noise through AI noise reduction. With 32 GB of onboard memory, up to 60 hours of audio are stored directly on the microphone so that the sound is not lost even if there are problems with the transmission to the camera.
The associated receiver allows the microphones to be connected wirelessly to conventional cameras and smartphones. No receiver is required for use with an Insta360 X5, Ace Pro 2 and Go Ultra. Insta360 allows up to four microphones to be connected to one receiver. Alternatively, a microphone can also be paired with up to four receivers to send the sound to several cameras at the same time. The microphone's battery allows ten hours of use, or 30 hours when used with the charging case.
