Sennheiser teases new wireless headphones with Momentum 5 Wireless pictured before release

Sony has just updated premium headphone line with two new options. On the one hand, 1000X The Collexion serves to celebrate ten years of the 1000X series. On the other hand, Sony refreshed the existing WH-1000XM6 with a new version of its own (curr. $398 on Amazon).
Not to be outdone, Sennheiser has announced it is preparing to unveil a competitor of its own. Currently, the company has only teased that 'the legend continues. However, it is evidently teasing the release of a new pair of over-ear headphones.
For the time being, Sennheiser has only shared a single close-up. Embedded above and below, the headphones follow the design of the older Momentum 4 Wireless. Now almost four years old, the Momentum 4 Wireless are unlikely to receive a refresh like the WH-1000XM6.
Recent leaks indicate that these headphones are actually the Momentum 5 Wireless. Currently, the Momentum 5 Wireless are expected to launch with 47 mm dynamic drivers and with more hardware buttons than its predecessor. The new headphones appear to be in development with the Momentum True Wireless 5, too. Whether these launch simultaneously remains to be seen for now.
