Sony relaunching WH-1000XM6 over-ear wireless headphones with new version

Sony has already introduced the Xperia 1 VIII this month. Available in all but North America, the new Xperia 1 has already come under fire for its lacklustre AI Camera Assistant software. On May 19, the company will be unveiling The ColleXion, a higher-end alternative to the WH-1000XM6 (curr. $398 on Amazon) that could cost upwards of $649 in the US.
Additionally, it seems that Sony is not done with the WH-1000XM6 yet, either. To recap, the company initially launched its sixth-generation headphones in Black, Midnight Blue and Platinum Silver finishes. Then in February, it presented Sand Pink, a visual refresh that mirrored the Smoky Pink colour in which the WH-1000XM5 was available.
Towards the start of April, billbil-kun claimed that Sony had created a fifth version of the WH-1000XM6. Slated to launch globally, the leaker only revealed that this version would be called 'Sandstone'. Now, The Walkman Blog has posted a picture of this colour ahead of its official release.
Embedded below, Sandstone is much closer to the Platinum Silver or Silver versions of the WH-1000XM4 and WH-1000XM3 than Sony's current Platinum Silver release. Sandstone should be available globally on May 19. Currently, the new model is expected to officially launch with a $459 MSRP, just like other versions of the WH-1000XM6 before it.
