Alongside the other new HyperX gaming-focused accessories, HP has introduced the Cloud Flight 2. The most notable highlight of the wireless gaming headset is that it comes with replaceable earcup plates. Backed by RGB lighting, this interchangeability allows users to instantly change the overall look of the wireless headphones.
Of course, it's not just the earcup plates that are interchangeable. HP notes that the ear pads, mic, and headband pad are also detachable, allowing users to replace these parts when needed instead of buying a new pair of gaming wireless headphones.
Besides longevity, the company claims that the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 focuses on comfort as well. The wireless headset features foam ear pads and rotating earcups, which are said to offer the right level of comfort during marathon sessions.
As for the audio, the Cloud Flight 2 comes with HyperX-tuned 50 mm drivers, and HP claims that these can offer punchy lows and eSports-level accuracy. There's an option to pair the wireless gaming headphones with devices through the 2.4 GHz dongle, which keeps the audio latency low.
In addition, there's support for Bluetooth 5.3, which opens compatibility with PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. Select OMEN gaming laptops can also connect to the wireless gaming headset through Instant Pair.
Other than these, the HyperX Cloud Flight 2 wireless headphones have a detachable 10 mm boom mic, up to 150 hours of battery life with the RGB off, and on-board media controls. HP has yet to reveal when the gaming headset will be available to purchase and how much the launch price will be.
