Huawei's sub-brand, Honor, has kicked off the year with a blistering start, as it launched its first 2019 flagship today at an event in Paris. The device, the Honor View 20, was released in China last month, but this launch sees it introduced into the global market.
Here's a quick rundown of the View 20's specifications.
- 6.4-inch FHD+ LCD display with a punch-hole camera
- Up to 8 GB of RAM
- Up to 256 GB of storage
- 7nm Kirin 980
- 48 MP + TOF 3D dual rear camera setup
- 25 MP selfie camera
- 4000 mAh battery
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 22.5W fast charge
- Rear fingerprint sensor
The base 6/128 GB will retail for 569 Euros, while the 8/256 GB SKU carries a 649 Euros price tag. For comparison, the 6/128 GB OnePlus 6T retails for 549 Euros, while the 8/128 GB one goes for 579 Euros. Both devices will likely be cross-shopped by buyers over the next few months, and there isn't much between them.
The Honor View 20 will go on sale tomorrow and will, eventually, be sold in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Russia, Poland, Finland, Egypt, the Czech Republic, the Netherlands, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Belgium, India, and the UAE.
The US is unlikely to get the device, no surprise considering the troubles Huawei has faced in that market over the past year.
