Hisense launches affordable smart glasses with lightweight build and long battery life

Hisense has launched a handful of new products in China, and the Smart Audio Glasses G11 are among them. With multiple frame options, these are basically audio glasses with a couple of smart features, which are mostly from the lightweight AI model integrated into them.

Speaking of which, the overall build of these smart glasses is pretty light, with the lightest frame option weighing only 26.5 grams. The form factor is relatively slim as well, with the temples measuring around 5.3mm thin, and Hisense touts that they have a "second-generation" ergonomic design.

Getting back to the smart features, the AI LLM allows the smart glasses to do dialogue translation and interpretation. The main highlight, however, is the audio setup, which is tuned by Vifa, a Danish audio company. With its 6-microphone array, the Hisense G11 are also capable of spatial input.

The brand further touts that the glasses have the "best-in-class" noise reduction tech, and with multi-dimensional interaction features, they are said to be ideal for outdoor wear. Another notable highlight is the battery life. While Hisense claims that the G11 can last for up to 47.2 hours, when continuously used for listening, the runtime can reach up to 12 hours.

Other notable aspects include a magnetic charging setup, an IP54 rating, and an audio recording feature. The Hisense Smart Audio Glasses G11 start at CNY 1,189, about $174, and it's still unclear whether the brand will introduce them outside the Chinese market.
