Xiaomi announces new budget smartwatch set to launch alongside Xiaomi 17 Max

The Xiaomi 17 Max is set to launch soon in China, and it will be interesting to see how the company positions it within the current flagship phone lineup. Alongside this smartphone, the company will release a budget smartwatch, the Band 10 Pro, which has now been officially showcased through renders.
Of course, retailer listings of the smartwatch were spotted way before this official announcement, and they have already given a relatively detailed look at the Band 10 Pro. Nonetheless, as the newly shared renders from Xiaomi confirm, there won't be any major design changes when compared to the last-gen model.
Lei Jun, the CEO of Xiaomi, shares that the fitness tracker will sport a lightweight body, weighing as low as 21.6 grams. It's said to have a slim build as well, measuring as thin as 9.7mm. This light and slim design aims to offer all-day comfort, with the curved screen promising seamless transition from the display to the housing.
Just like the last-gen Xiaomi Smart Band (available on Amazon), the new model will have a Ceramic Edition, which will be paired with a fluoroelastomer wristband. The company hasn't officially shared any specs yet. However, the retailer listings have revealed that the smartwatch will come with a 1.74-inch AMOLED screen, matching its predecessor.
It's expected to be powered by a 380mAh battery, which, per the listings, will offer up to 25 days of runtime, a 4-day increase from what Xiaomi promises for the Smart Band 9 Pro. The company has showcased the renders of the Ceramic Edition and the Gold Mileanesse version, while regular black, pink, and silver colorways are also expected to be available.
As for the launch, there's still no concrete word on it yet, but the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to be released in China sometime in May 2026. More official details about the smartwatch and the phone are expected to emerge soon.
