6.9-inch, 8,000 mAh battery: Xiaomi 17 Max global launch tipped; Xiaomi 17T, 17T Pro to get official in May

The upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max is a larger version of the compact Xiaomi 17 flagship. According to leaks, the 6.9-inch 17 Max model has an 8,000 mAh battery and should become official in China in the next few weeks, within the month of May.
However, we are also finding out that a global launch might be in consideration. This wouldn’t be a huge surprise considering the 6.3-inch Xiaomi 17 is globally available. That said, in Chinese smartphone lingo "global" can mean anything from wider availability in the EU or Asia to an Indian launch, so you'll have to stay tuned for updates on Xiaomi's ultimate decision.
In related news, the global launch of the recently leaked Xiaomi 17T and Xiaomi 17T Pro models, which replace the Xiaomi 15T and 15T Pro, is now expected to also take place in late May. The date currently floating around is May 28.
Unsurprisingly, Xiaomi is skipping the 16T series to catch up with the naming scheme of the rest of its flagship lineup.
