High on Life 2 gets a limited edition Xbox controller design via Xbox Design Lab

Squanch Games and Xbox have announced a new limited-edition controller design inspired by High on Life 2 via Xbox Design Lab. The sequel is set to launch on February 13, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, with a day-one release on Game Pass. Ahead of the game's launch, fans can pick up a matching Xbox Series X controller, available now through Design Lab.
The High on Life 2 Design Lab theme delivers a bright, colorful take on the Xbox Series X controller. The front features a semi-transparent faceplate paired with black handles, while blue joysticks, pink ABXY buttons, and yellow menu buttons add strong contrast. Around the back, a deep pink rear shell is matched with green bumpers and gold triggers. It's a colorful redesign that draws from High on Life 2's loud, chaotic aesthetic.
The new design is currently available only for the Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, with the standard version notably missing. Pricing comes in at $205.96, and Squanch Games says the design will be available for a limited time. Aside from the cosmetic changes, it's the same Elite controller under the hood.
As expected, the Elite controller brings pro-focused features such as adjustable-tension thumbsticks, rear paddles, shorter hair-trigger locks, and a rubberized grip. That said, it still relies on traditional potentiometer joysticks, meaning it can develop stick drift down the line, even after forking out over $200.
