Google Pixel 11 launches with revamped camera and higher base storage

Google has introduced the Pixel 11, its latest standard flagship, alongside the rest of the Pixel 11 family. Unlike previous years, when nearly every spec leaked months ahead of launch, Google managed to keep several key features under wraps this time.
Display & Design
The Pixel 11 features a 6.3-inch "Actua" display that peaks at 3,000 nits, unchanged from last year, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 2. The design pairs a polished glass back with a satin-finish aluminum frame and a slimmer camera bar compared to its predecessor. It comes in four colorways: Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian.
Performance
The phone is powered by Google's new Tensor G6 chip. Google says it brings 20% greater energy efficiency, 25% faster web browsing, and 15% faster app launch times compared to the G5. It's paired with the Titan M3 security chip, 12GB of RAM, and 256GB of base storage, doubled from last year's 128GB, a jump likely influenced by Apple's decision to increase base storage on the iPhone 17.
Cameras
The main camera gets an overhaul compared to last year. It has a 48MP resolution, 1/1.56" sensor, and f/1.7 aperture. While still smaller than the base Pixel 9's 1/1.3" sensor, it's still a substantial upgrade over the Pixel 10's 1/1.95" sensor. Google claims the new module gathers 56% more light than its predecessor.
The other cameras on the Pixel 11 stay the same as the Pixel 10: a 13MP, 1/3.1", f/2.2 fixed-focus ultrawide, a 10.8MP, 1/3.2", f/3.1, 5x optical telephoto, and a 10.5MP, f/2.2 front camera with autofocus. Even though the telephoto hardware hasn't changed, the phone is now rated for 30x Super Res Zoom, a move likely powered by the Tensor G6's improved TPU and ISP.
Battery and Charging
The Pixel 11 packs a typical 4,985mAh battery (4,840mAh minimum) rated for 30+ hours of battery life. It supports fast charging up to 55% in about 30 minutes using a 30W USB-C PPS charger (sold separately), along with Pixelsnap wireless charging (Qi2.2 certified) up to 25W.
What you are missing out vs the Pro
The standard Pixel 11 skips several features reserved for the Pro lineup:
- HiLight rear notification LED
- Instant Night Sight (uses the Tensor G6's advanced TPU for night captures up to 4.5x faster)
- 120x zoom (vs. 30x)
- Vapor chamber cooling
- The complimentary six-month Google AI Pro subscription bundled with Pro purchases
Pricing and Availability
The Pixel 11 is available for pre-order starting August 12 at €999 for the base 256GB storage configuration. It will be sold through the Google Store, major carriers, and retail partners. The device launches on Android 17 with 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, and carries a 2-year warranty.
