Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold brings better cameras and a thinner design
Google's Pixel 11 Pro Fold refines the formula with a thinner design, brighter displays, and the same camera and chip upgrades found across the Pixel 11 lineup.
Displays and Design
Google's Pixel 11 Pro Fold pairs a 6.5-inch external "Super Actua" display (1080x2342 OLED, 399 PPI, 19.5:9) with an 8-inch internal "Super Actua Flex" panel (2076x2152 OLED, 372 PPI). Both screens have LTPO, which allows the panel to run at 1-120 Hz, and both screens can hit up to 3,600 nits peak brightness, with 2,400 nits for HDR content. The external panel is covered by glass ceramic cover glass, while the internal display is protected by Ultra Thin Glass.
The hinge assembly is updated, now with multi-alloy steel and an aerospace-grade aluminum cover. Google has also made the new foldable thinner, bringing folded depth to 10.1 mm, 0.6 mm thinner than last gen, and unfolded depth from 5.2 mm to 5 mm, at 239 g. The phone carries IP68 water and dust resistance and ships in Olive and Obsidian.
Performance
The phone is powered by Google's new Tensor G6 chip. Google says it brings 20% greater energy efficiency, 25% faster web browsing, and 15% faster app launch times compared to the G5. It's paired with 16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of storage, with the base 256GB configuration lacking Zoned UFS, which is the same as last year's model.
Cameras
The main camera gets an overhaul compared to last year. It has a 48MP resolution, 1/1.56" sensor, and f/1.7 aperture, a substantial upgrade over the Pixel 10 Pro Fold's 1/1.95" sensor. Google claims the new module gathers 56% more light than its predecessor.
The other cameras on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold stay the same as last gen : a 10.5MP, 1/3.4", f/2.2 ultrawide, a 10.8MP, 1/3.2", f/3.1, 5x optical telephoto, and two 10MP, f/2.2 front cameras with autofocus for the main and cover displays. Even though the telephoto hardware hasn't changed, the phone is now rated for 30x Super Res Zoom, a move likely powered by the Tensor G6's improved TPU and ISP.
Software & Foldable specific features
The Fold has the same HiLight LED as the 11 Pro / Pro XL, while still offering its own foldable specific software tricks, including dual screen preview, rear camera selfie, tabletop mode, Made You Look, and Instant View.
Pricing and Availability
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is available for pre-order starting August 12 at €1999/$1899 for the base 256GB storage configuration. It will be sold through the Google Store, major carriers, and retail partners. The device launches on Android 17 with 7 years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates, and carries a 2-year warranty.
