Garmin is still working toward delivering a new stable update for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 and other smartwatches based on recent v15.xx beta development. Although a stable update is not ready just yet, Garmin claims to have fixed several bugs that could cause crashes in its latest beta update.

It seems that Garmin is no closer to finalising its new beta round update for the Enduro 3, Fenix E, Fenix 8 or Tactix 8 (curr. $1,299.99 on Amazon). While the company rounded out April by introducing System Software 13.73 to its four high-end smartwatches, the update did not contain any of the changes that it has been offering to beta testers since late March.

For context, Garmin surpassed a dozen v13.xx beta builds before it brought System Software 13.35 to its stable software program. The release of Beta Version 15.27 now takes v15.xx development to its tenth public build, excluding the Voice Command Files update it distributed towards the end of last week.

Nonetheless, Garmin has disabled Aviation, Dive and ECG features in Beta Version 15.27. As a result, Beta Version 15.27 will not be the final beta update in this development cycle, despite Garmin having now surpassed 150 changes from its most recent stable update.

This time around, the company has only focused on pushing new bug fixes, of which it highlights ten in its Beta Version 15.27 changelog. Surprisingly, it has taken until now to resolve three issues that could cause crashes, including one that could occur when selecting a recent course from a saved app. The full list of changes between Beta Versions v15.26 and v15.27 are as follows:

  • Fixed Crash After Enabling Live Event Share.
  • Fixed Crash When Selecting Recent Course from Saved App.
  • Fixed Crash When Using Women's Health App.
  • Fixed Daily Summary Not Appearing Before Sleep.
  • Fixed Incorrect Number of Rounds Shown After HIIT Workout.
  • Fixed Lactate Threshold Prompt Shown After Every Run.
  • Fixed Music App Icons Not Centered on Glance.
  • Fixed Potential Crash when Loding Maps.
  • Fixed Various Passcode Activity-Related Bugs.
  • Updated Pulse Ox Glance to Show "No Data" Instead of "--" in During Sleep and All-Day Mode.
