Garmin has found more bugs in its most recent Release Candidate build for the Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S. Last week, the company issued Beta version 11.16, the second Release Candidate since v10.10 rolled out to all Instinct 2 models in November. For reference, Beta version 11.16 addressed a bug that would prevent CIQ watch faces from starting.
Subsequently, Garmin has discovered two more bugs that it wants to fix before releasing a new stable build. According to the company's latest forum post, Beta version 11.17 is targeted at overcoming issues that could cause an Instinct 2 or Instinct 2S to crash after enabling 'Resume Later'. Additionally, a device should no longer freeze when changing the Pulse Ox setting in GCM after installing Beta version 11.17.
As with the last beta build, Garmin hopes to start rolling out Beta version 11.17 on its stable software development branch. Typically, Garmin moves Public Release Candidate builds to its Live public update channel within a few days of public beta testing. All changes from v10.10 to v11.17 are the same as they were with Beta version 11.16, the changelog for which you can find in our article covering the build.
