A Vietnamese retailer has listed the Forerunner 965, one of Garmin's upcoming smartwatches. While Garmin has not commented on when the Forerunner 965 will be available yet, the new leak is the second in under a month. Hence, it seems likely that Garmin is close to announcing the Forerunner 965, as well as the Forerunner 265.
As expected, the Forerunner 965 has an AMOLED display, rather than a MIP panel that features in the Forerunner 955. According to both retailer leaks, the panel measures 1.4-inches across and operates at 416 x 416 pixels. Supposedly, the adoption of an AMOLED display coincides with a new UI that will deliver a 'more vivid' and 'detailed display experience'. Moreover, the Forerunner 965 has a GNSS multi-band navigation system with (GPS/GLONASS), as well as proprietary SatIQ technology.
The Forerunner 965 is also rated for up to 23 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, or 31 hours with GPS mode active. Seemingly, all colours will weigh 53 g, of which there will be three at launch. Happy Run has not disclosed pricing or a release date. However, previous leaks suggest that the Foreunner 965 will come to market for US$599.99 and €649.99. In other words, the Forerunner 965 will be more expensive than its predecessor at launch.
