It seems that Huawei is preparing to introduce yet more smartwatches, having recently released the Watch GT Cyber outside China. Typically, Huawei presents new flagship smartwatches in the spring, with the Watch 3 Pro and Watch GT 3 Pro debuting in June 2021 and April 2022, respectively. Alternatively, the company also uses autumn hardware events to showcase wearables like the Watch GT 3 and Watch GT 2 Pro.
According to Huawei Ailesi, Huawei has certified the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro with an undisclosed Wi-Fi regulatory body. The website reports that Huawei has assigned the codename 'Arch' to the Watch 4, which it shortens to ARC. In comparison, Huawei Ailesi claims that the Watch 4 Pro carries the codename Medusa, or MDS as a three-character acronym.
Reputedly, Huawei could release the Watch 4 and Watch 4 Pro alongside the Watch 4 Ultimate. However, a third Watch 4 series smartwatch remains a rumour for now; Huawei has not certified a third Watch 4 series model yet either. Regardless, Huawei Ailesi asserts that the Watch 4 series will launch with HarmonyOS 3, which debuted last summer in a refreshed Watch 3 Pro. Other information remains unknown for now, such as the Watch 4 series' design, specifications and pricing.
