Garmin has released another beta build to Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches, building on Beta version 11.14 that it issued at the end of January. This time, the company has issued Beta version 11.25, which addresses a few bugs that were present in Beta version 11.24. As always, Garmin will update devices via GCM but only if they have been enrolled on its Beta Program.
According to the company's changelog, Beta version 11.25 should fix an issue that prevents synchronising information over Wi-Fi for some smartwatches. Additionally, this week's beta build resolves three potential shutdown issues that could affect all Fenix 7, Enduro 2, Epix 2, Quatix 7 and Marq 2 series smartwatches. For reference, Beta version 11.25 should not cause shutdowns in the following circumstances:
- After viewing your workout execution score
- In the race widget while viewing Pace Pro
- In the Strength activity
Garmin adds that it would like all alpha and beta testers to use the most recent secure_config files. However, the company last updated these on May 25, 2022. As such, it seems likely that all eligible smartwatches enrolled on the Beta Program are already running the latest secure_config files. Please see Garmin's blog post for more information.
