Garmin has released Beta Version 11.15, an update for the Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S smartwatches. The latest software fixes several problems, such as issues with Garmin Pay, compass calibration and the Connect IQ glance icon’s position. Another issue with sleep data uploads made via Garmin Express has been resolved, as has a bug on the Edit Set page which could cause the wearables to crash.
Owners of the smartwatch were surprised to see that Garmin has removed Morning Report from the Instinct 2 and 2S smartwatches. The popular new feature, added in Alpha Version 11.09 about a month ago, provides a daily summary of the day ahead. For example, it can show your calendar events, step goal, Body Battery and the weather. Plus, the Race Day glance has also been taken out with the latest update.
Garmin has stated that, after its comprehensive testing of the features, they were not performing adequately. Users are optimistic that the tools could reappear in a later update, though the company has not confirmed this. Customers who are part of the Garmin Public Beta program will automatically receive the update. Instinct 2 and Instinct 2S smartwatch owners who wish to join the program can sign up via Garmin Connect.
