Garmin has released Beta version 24.86 for Fenix 6, Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatches. Available to download now, the new build follows Beta version 24.85 and makes a few software improvements ahead of a forthcoming stable update.

Garmin has issued another beta update for the Fenix 6 series, as well as the Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta. While the company has not confirmed when a new stable update is due, the release of four beta builds in less than three weeks implies that the company is close to finalising changes from v24.10. Likewise, the dwindling number of changes from Beta version 24.81 to the latest Beta version 24.86 underlines that a new stable build should be on the horizon.

According to Garmin's forum post, Beta version 24.86 makes four changes from Beta version 28.65 that arrived last week. Specifically, the new update makes improvements to and addresses bugs with Backcountry Ski/Snowboard split detection. Moreover, Garmin claims that accessing the map on an Expedition activity will no longer cause an unexpected shutdown.

Furthermore, Beta version 24.86 fixes an issue that caused a device to shutdown on CIQ apps. Elsewhere, devices should now display the correct highlighted icon on MARQ power controls. Beta version 24.86 is rolling out now and will be downloaded through Garmin's GCM service. Please note that you must have enrolled your Fenix 6, Enduro, Marq, Quatix 6 and Tactix Delta series smartwatch on Garmin's Beta Program to receive Alpha or Beta builds.
