Google is rolling out another update for the Pixel Watch. This month's update arrives as RWD9.220429.075 or RWD9.220429.075.J1, depending on where you live. The update brings the Pixel Watch onto the February 2023 security patch, mirroring a comparable update for Pixel smartphones.

The Pixel Watch has received another update, following in the footsteps of the Pixel 4a through Pixel 7 Pro. For some reason, Google continues to issue Pixel Watch updates in batches, unlike equivalent updates for its smartphones. As such, it could take a few weeks before RWD9.220429.075 reaches your Pixel Watch, or RWD9.220429.075.J1 if you live in Japan or Taiwan.

The update keeps the Pixel Watch on Android 11, with Wear OS 3.5 effectively an extension of Wear OS 3.0. Google has not hinted at the release of Wear OS 4.0 yet, making upgrades to Android 12 or Android 13 unlikely for a while to come. In fact, Mobvoi has still not upgraded its existing smartwatches to the Wear OS 3.0 platform, despite Google claiming that this would happen last summer.

RWD9.220429.075 makes only minor changes to the Pixel Watch. According to a Google Support post, the update brings the smartwatch onto the February 2023 Android security patch.
