Garmin brings 23 improvements to Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 via new Beta Version 16.16 updates

Garmin has published new beta builds for the Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 as the company prepares to issue fresh stable updates for the pair. Like the Forerunner 255 and Forerunner 265, the Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965 have received the same changelog, which contains 23 improvements from Beta Version 16.12. According to Garmin, it is distributing Beta Version 16.16 through its GCM service. As such, you should be notified to download this week's beta build for Forerunner 955 or Forerunner 965 within the next day or so.

Please note that Beta Version 16.16 is a Release Candidate build for both smartwatches. Thus, the same build will eventually arrive as a new stable update provided that no critical errors are reported during Garmin's public beta testing phase. Accordingly, Garmin has a Bug Reports page should you encounter any after upgrading to Beta Version 16.16.

In short, Garmin has included nine new features for the Forerunner 955 and Forerunner 965, plus 10 bug fixes. Additionally, the company has bundled GPS and Sensor Hub firmware updates, although it has not detailed their new version numbers in its forum posts.
