Garmin Instinct 2 and Instinct Crossover smartwatches receive Beta update 13.19

Other changes to the Instinct series smartwatches since v12.25, the last major update, include adding a Gaming activity, Tides Glance and Workouts app. Garmin notes that v13.19 is a Release Candidate, signalling its intention to launch an identical version of the software publically, assuming no significant issues are spotted during this final testing. The update will be automatically pushed to eligible wearables OTA; the company suggests that users should be prepared to wait several hours for the new software to download and install.

Alternatively, you can manually sync with Garmin Express. Garmin suggests that customers ensure they have the latest GPS, BLE/ANT and Sensor Hub software versions (here) installed before updating to v13.19. The company asks that if you spot a problem with the software, you report it in the Beta Bug Reports forum. If you own an Instinct 2, Instinct 2s, Instinct 2X or Instinct Crossover smartwatch and wish to join the Beta Program, you can do so via Garmin Connect.
