The Habelo Clic&Go 2.0 is currently available to pre-order in EU countries like France and Belgium. The e-bike conversion kit lets you add a 250W electric motor to your regular bike. The engine can assist you at speeds up to 25 kph (~16 mph) and deliver up to 40 Nm torque. A pedal sensor makes the assistance intelligent, adapting based on how fast you are pedalling.
The Clic&Go kit also includes a 314Wh lithium-ion battery, assisting you for up to 80 km (~50 miles) between charges; a full recharge takes around four hours. The company claims that you can fit the kit in as little as five minutes, replacing your front wheel with the Clic&Go model and attaching the battery to the frame. A 160-lumen LED lamp can be attached to the front of your bicycle to help you to see and be seen in low lighting. Plus, a Bluetooth 5.0 controller can be mounted to the handlebars, showing information such as your speed and distance travelled. You can also connect the e-bike kit to your smartphone for iOS or Android app controls to toggle between free, eco and sports modes and to activate the anti-theft lock.
You can now pre-order the Habelo Clic&Go 2.0 with prices starting from €650 (~US$706). Six kits are available to suit various wheel sizes between 20 and 29-in. Customers who pre-order the gadget before September 1 will receive a free LCD controller worth €80 (~US$87). The company currently delivers to France, Belgium and Luxembourg, with shipping expected to start this month. It is unclear whether or when the e-bike conversion kit could be available in other countries.
