Amazfit has introduced the Cheetah Square, building on the Cheetah and Cheetah Pro that the company released nearly two months ago. As its name suggests, the Cheetah Square has a squarer design than its siblings. However, its display has a squircle finish to it, making a dead ringer for recent Apple Watch models.
According to Amazfit, the Cheetah Square has a 1.75-inch AMOLED display that outputs at 450 x 390 pixels. Reportedly, the large display also has 1,000 nits peak brightness and supports always-on functionality for its over 100 pre-loaded watch faces. Amazfit adds that it has integrated more 150 sports modes too, as well as Amazon Alexa as a digital assistant. Similarly, the Zepp OS store contains numerous third-party apps such as Runtastic and Strava.
Moreover, Amazfit promises up to 8 days of battery life from its latest smartwatch or 13 hours with GPS tracking activated. For reference, the Cheetah Square weighs 25 g without a strap, making it 22% lighter than the regular Cheetah. Still, the new smartwatch is 5 ATM water resistant and is a mere 9.9 mm thick. As always, the Cheetah Square features Amazfit's BioTracker PPG biometric sensor that captures various health metrics, including blood oxygen data.
Currently, Amazfit has released the Cheetah Square in a sole Winner Champagne colourway. For now, the company has not revealed US pricing either. Instead, the smartwatch is orderable in the UK for £229.90 or for €229.90 in the Eurozone. Please see Amazfit's website for more details.
