Garmin has issued a significant new beta release for the Venu 2 and Venu 2S. Available as Beta Version 14.07, the new build finally moves the Venu 2 series on from Version 13.xx builds.

Earlier this month, Garmin announced the rollout of major updates for various smartwatch series, including the Fenix 7. Subsequently, the company issued equivalent updates for the Fenix 6 series, albeit with fewer new features than those available on newer smartwatches. The Venu 2 series missed out on Garmin's June 2023 Feature Update, with the company maintaining 13.xx builds instead.

Now, Garmin has announced the pre-rollout of Beta Version 14.07 for the Venu 2 and Venu 2S. A move from version numbers 13.14 to 14.07 in one beta release cycle implies that Garmin has made numerous changes. However, it has included a single and rather change on its forum post, with 'various bug fixes and improvements included'.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the dearth of information has prompted one Beta Program participant to ask Garmin moderators for 'basic information about the beta releases'. Please note that Beta Version 14.07 is only available as an over-the-air (OTA) update. Hence, you cannot download it using Garmin Connect Mobile (GCM) or Garmin Express. Still, you can head to Settings, System and then to Software Update to manually download the latest beta build for the Venu 2 and Venu 2S.
