Galaxy Z Flip 6 teardown shows the first vapor chamber cooling in a Samsung flip phone
The new Galaxy Z Flip6 recently went on pre-order (on Amazon, for example) and will be available worldwide from July 4. One individual who has already received the new Samsung flip phone of 2024 is the teardown expert from the PBKReviews channel on YouTube, who also gives us a look inside. However, it is not a complete teardown, as the flip phone is obviously intended to be used again after being disassembled and reassembled, which would most likely no longer be possible if the flexible display on the inside were to be removed.
In this context, the expert also recommends ordering a combination of frame and display when replacing the expensive flex display, as it can be very difficult to glue the display in such a way that it does not slip and become damaged when opening and closing. At least the teardown video gives us a view of the inside from the outside, which is enough to get to the vapor chamber cooling, which is installed in the Galaxy Z Flip 6 for the first time.

Repairability: At least 8 out of 10 points
The fact that the inner display cannot be replaced quite so easily means that some points have been deducted from the repairability rating, but at least the back, individual components and the two batteries can be replaced comparatively easily, which seems to justify a relatively high repairability score of 8 out of 10 maximum possible points.
