The YouTube channel TechTalkTV has posted what it claims is a leaked set-up and walkthrough of the upcoming Galaxy Watch 3. This device, should it be proven genuine, will be the next generation of higher-end Samsung smartwatches. As such, it apparently brings the rotating outer edge that was a stand-out feature of its alleged predecessor back from its heretofore presumed grave.
Fans of the brand may be glad to see this feature back, as it was missing from the sports-focused product that launched instead of a more expected Watch 2 last year. The new device that may resurrect the innovative moving part is thought to skip directly to the suffix '3' in order to stay in line with the also-anticipated Active variant, and to underpin that it will be the more premium of the two.
This new Watch 3 leak also purports to corroborate several others, in that the wearable will have 45mm or 41mm options. They will have displays measuring 1.4 or 1.2 inches respectively, both of which will have a new, slimmer rotating bezel.
The new Galaxy Watch was also again touted to have Gorilla Glass DX and a MIL-STD-810G rating for durability. Furthermore, it may have a stainless steel case. This wearable is also now linked to the ECG and blood-pressure tracking abilities that are also likely to make it to the Watch Active 3.
Finally, it is now said to have 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. This (probably) Tizen OS device may launch at Galaxy Unpacked on August 5, 2020, alongside the Galaxy Note 20 line-up and maybe the Z Fold 2.
