Fenix has officially introduced the new E06R Pro EDC flashlight after teasing it a few days ago. As expected, the flashlight has four main light sources, namely a red laser, UV light, floodlight and a focused long-range beam.
Interestingly, the floodlight and long-range light use LEDs with different color temperatures. The floodlight uses neutral white 5500 Kelvin, while the long-range has a cool white with 6500 Kelvin. Both LEDs can be combined in turbo mode for a throw of up to 175 yards. The focused beam alone reaches about 167 yards, and the floodlight maxes out at 65 yards.
This makes the E06R Pro a competitor to EDC flashlights we have already reviewed, such as the Olight ArkPro (Ultra), Acebeam K1 and Nitecore EDC17.
Around the main switch, there is also a light ring that can display various color patterns. It’s essentially a party light that can also indicate battery status but also emit a warning signal. It is also rather unusual that there are two main switches, as the one on the tail of the flashlight has the exact same function as the other one. With that, Fenix supports different gripping styles.
The flashlight can be charged via USB Type-C and has a minimum runtime of 1 hour 19 minutes in its brightest setting. Alternatively, it lasts up to 111 hours in eco-mode with 5 lumens. With a length of about 4.7 inches, the new Fenix EDC flashlight remains pretty compact, and it also sports a pocket clip. The gadget weighs around 3.7 oz and comes with an IP66 rating.
Last but not least, the Fenix E06R Pro is already available for purchase in three different colors. In the US, it carries an official price tag of $75.
