Fantastic PlayStation 5 retail box concept render inserts a positive note into the current PS5 saga
Giuseppe Spinelli (“Snoreyn”) has offered LetsGoDigital yet another fantastic PS5-related concept render. This time, the designer has had a go at rendering what the retail box for the next-generation console might look like, and the end result looks incredibly professional (see below for full image). Appropriately, the creator of this concept has labeled it the “Snoreyn Edition” of the PS5.
The dark blue packaging reveals both the PS5 console and a DualShock 5 controller on the main front side. There’s a subtle overall look to the PS5 itself, which is in stark contrast with some of the more outlandish efforts that have sprung up all over the web lately. The conceptual hardware comes in jet black and there is mention of the 825 GB SSD and 8K support.
It’s an attractive concept that has appeared at the right time: PS5 fans are longing for some sort of actual reveal of the console and now there is a rumor that Sony might have to delay the device for months or even completely redesign it. On top of that troubling rumor, there is the news that PlayStation has decided to delay big title launches because of the coronavirus pandemic.
There is a general growing impression that Microsoft is ahead of the game here, and it might not be enough for Sony to try to convince gamers that the PS5 should launch on time when what is really needed is a good look at the actual next-gen console itself.
