Fallout 76: Wastelanders will arrive on April 7 for the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The expansion will be a free update for existing players, but there will be Wastelanders editions to purchase too should you not own a copy of Fallout 76 already. The expansion introduces new quests, locations, enemies and weapons among other content, including fully-voiced NPCs.
The announcement of Wastelanders also marks the beginning of the end for the Tricentennial Edition of Fallout 76 as Bethesda begins phasing it out. The company stresses that players will still be able to purchase items in the Tricentennial Pack, though.
Additionally, Bethesda is bringing Fallout 76 to Steam, something that it first-announced in March last year. The expansion will be released on Bethesda.net and Steam too. However, while Steam will offer the Tricentennial Pack, the Raider and Settler content bundle, a Fallout 1st membership and Atoms, Bethesda will prevent the transfer of the latter two between Bethesda.net and Steam. Conversely, Atomic Shop items are platform agnostic.
