Bethesda has announced that this year's QuakeCon will be streamed live. We can expect the company to tell us more about the upcoming Doom: Eternal DLC, Starfield, and more. We should know more about the event's specifics in the coming days.

We've seen a lot of events get canceled this year thanks to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. A large number of people cooped up in a small area is a strict no-no, and that's why online-only events have been all the rage. Blizzard had to cancel QuakeCon too, but it appears that the conference is back on.

The official Bethesda Twitter handle confirmed that QuakeCon 2020 would be held via live stream between August 7 and 9 this year. There is no mention of any upcoming announcements, but we can expect to see the company tell us more about the forthcoming Doom: Eternal DLC that was teased a few weeks ago. We should know more about the ticket availability and the complete schedule in the coming days.

Bethesda is also likely to tell us about Starfield at QuakeCon 2020. The company has been relatively tight-lipped about the game ever since its minute-long teaser debuted in 2018. Let's hope that there are some Quake-centric announcements too. Can't have a QuakeCon without any Quake in it now, can we?
