Edge 50 5G: New leak reveals launch pricing and release window for Motorola's next mid-range 5G smartphone
Motorola has released quite a few Edge 50-branded smartphones so far. To recap, the company now sells the Edge 50 Fusion, Edge 50 Pro and Edge 50 Ultra in multiple markets like Europe, India and the UK. However, the company has not introduced any of these devices in North America yet, let alone North American versions of the Razr 50 or Razr 50 Ultra.
Conversely, Motorola only offers the Edge 2024 (curr. $549.99 on Amazon) in North America, which it presented at the start of last month. Seemingly, the Edge 50 series could soon be expanded in Europe as the 'Edge 50 5G'. Citing Sudhanshu Ambhore, 91mobiles claims that the Edge 50 5G features a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 68 W wired charging, just like the Edge 2024.
Moreover, 91mobiles asserts that the Edge 50 5G will launch in Europe later this month, albeit without providing a specific date. Regardless, the website adds that the handset will eventually arrive in green, grey and peach colour options with a single 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB storage configuration priced at €599. Unfortunately, other details remain unknown for now. Nonetheless, we would not be surprised to see the Edge 50 5G contain the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1, the chipset that was originally rumoured to power the Edge 50 Fusion.
