The mainstream Inspiron 7577 gets a graphics boost in addition to Thunderbolt 3 starting at just under $1000 USD.

The popular Inspiron 15 7567 is barely a year old and a complete refresh is already well on its way. Called the Inspiron 15 7577, the redesign is notable for its inclusion of GTX 1060 Max-Q graphics in addition to the GTX 1050 or GTX 1050 Ti options currently found on the Inspiron 7567. Battery size will be smaller at 56 Wh compared to 74 Wh on the original in order to support Quick Charge. Core specifications include:

  • Intel Core i7-7700HQ CPU
  • 15.6-inch FHD IPS (200 nits) or 4K UHD IPS (300 nits)
  • HDMI 2.0, Thunderbolt 3 up to 40 Gbps
  • 56 Wh battery with Quick Charge support
  • 389 x 274.7 x 24.95 mm
  • 2.65 kg

The preview model below is an early prototype and does not fully represent the eventual retail unit. For example, the unit is equipped with a glossy panel and a bright red chassis while the final retail models will all have matte panels and a deeper shade of red. Still, the design is representative of what the final model will be including the newly rearranged ports and redesigned ventilation grilles on the front and back. The Ethernet port, for example, is now on the left edge of the unit to make room for the new Thunderbolt 3 port on the right. The Power button will double as a fingerprint reader similar to Dell's new Inspiron 7000 refresh series.

The Inspiron 15 7577 will be available this September for a starting price of $1000 USD in both Red and Silver color options. Check out Dell's very handy guide below for more details on the specifications.

After graduating with a B.S. in environmental hydrodynamics from the University of California, I studied reactor physics to become licensed by the U.S. NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There's a striking level of appreciation you gain for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reactivity systems astonishingly powered by computers from the 80s. When I'm not managing day-to-day activities and US review articles on Notebookcheck, you can catch me following the eSports scene and the latest gaming news.
