DJI has multiple new devices planned for later this month alone. To recap, the company has now started the global launches of not just the Neo 2 but also the Osmo Action 6 action camera. As it stands, DJI appears set to be introducing the former on November 13 and the latter less than a week later on November 18.
With the Neo 2 being available in China and many details already known about the Osmo Action 6, there is little left to leak about either device. Nonetheless, The New Camera has turned its attention to the long-rumoured Osmo Pocket 4. While DJI's next-generation vlogging camera was first mooted back in May, the Osmo Pocket 4 remains somewhat of a mystery compared with the company's other unreleased devices.
Seemingly, the Osmo Pocket 4 has now entered beta testing, though. Pictured below with the Osmo Pocket 3 on its left-hand side (curr. $565 on Amazon), the Osmo Pocket 4 is identifiable by the two new buttons beneath its rotating display. For context, previous leaks have suggested that the next Osmo Pocket could feature a range of other upgrades over DJI's current model, including a new OmniVision OV50R40-backed camera sensor that outputs natively at 50 MP.
The appearance of an Osmo Pocket 4 prototype in the wild indicates that DJI is moving towards releasing the device sooner rather than later. However, DJI's beta testing-related leaks typically occur a few months before a device's official launch. In other words, it seems a stretch for DJI to unveil the Osmo Pocket 4 globally before the start of next year.
